How can you help? Volunteer.

At the heart of the Network are people of all faiths with a willingness to assist those in need. By utilizing space in many local churches, this community-wide outreach allows IHN to operate very economically. The churches provide the bedrooms and the volunteers cook an evening meal, and can provide companionship during the sometimes lonely evenings. Volunteers gain a new awareness of homelessness and become catalysts for change. If you help prepare a hot meal, read to or tutor a child, donate dollars to fund a worthwhile cause, you can make a difference in the lives of our families in need - who are looking for a hand up, not a handout.

We need your donations.

Our budget for 2009-2010 will be approximately $140,000. Of this, 82% goes toward the running of the program.

Our needs include:

• Advertising
• Corporate sponsorships
• Mentoring
• Miscellaneous printing and postage
• Newsletter printing and mailing
• Office supplies
• Telephone coverage on weekends
• Van maintenance and gas
